M. A. Packman
Novelist - Short Fiction - Flash Fiction

BIO

I am a fiction writer based in Cornwall, UK. I am currently writing my second novel, an emotionally-charged tale of survival, courage, and the unbreakable bond between twins. Set in the turbulent Elizabethan era, intrigue, betrayal, and the lust for power collide in the lives of orphaned twins separated since birth by a dark secret. As they forge their own paths, illuminating the darkest corners of the age, they reveal the strength and resilience that lies at the heart of the human spirit.
I am published in the Lightship International Prize Winners' Anthology, Mechanics' Institute Review, Dark Lane Anthology Vols. 7 and 8, and Unlost, as well as in the small press and online. I have twice been shortlisted for the Fish International Short Story Prize (2020 and 2025), and longlisted for the Fish Flash Fiction Prize, the Cambridge International Short Story Prize, and the TSS International Flash 400 Prize.
I am represented by Sophie Lambert at C&W Agency.
